Attention! All Fekus! NPA of banks is the real source of black money

In his most hard hitting speech against recalcitrant defaulters, Reserve Bank of India governor Raghuram Rajan has said that the amount written off by banks as bad debts in the last five years would have been enough to fund the education of 15 lakh of the poorest children in the top private universities of the country, all expenses paid. Pointing out that sanctity of debt contract is being continuously eroded in India, the governor said only Rs 30,590 crore of bad debt was recovered by banks through the debt recovery tribunals in FY14 from the Rs 2,36,600 crore claimed even as cases keep piling up.

NPA of banks is the real source of black money. All Fekus instead of curbing the NPA, scream over black money stashed in Switzerland.

An open letter to Mr. Obama

Dear Obama,

When you will arrive in India to become guest of republic day parade in India, please bring biography of your great forefather Abraham Lincoln, who fought against slavery in America. You must give this book to PM of India, who like a habitual offender, uses to give ‘BhagwadGita’ to all foreign dignitaries during his visit of different countries.

Mr. President you must know that ‘BhagwadGita’ is a religious scripture, in which Lord Krishna says that He has created the four Varnas, i.e. caste system. Why God is interested in creating any unjust, irrational, illogical, tyrannous, inhuman, cruel system like caste system?  If God says that I have created caste system, then He must be ‘insane’ or ‘rascal’! And if somebody make us believe that God has created caste system, and then he must be a super rascal. Whether Mr. Modi is super rascal, it is up to you to decide.

Lincoln fought against slavery and that is the reason you are president of USA, the most powerful country on the earth. But, in India Gandhi and his followers could not fight against untouchability, because they believed in ‘Bhagwad Gita’, the foundation of caste based discrimination. We Dalits of India really know what the meaning of caste system is. We are not beneficiaries of Bhagwad Gita, we are victims of Bhagwad Gita.

Hope, your visit of India may enlighten Mr. PM of India.

sher ki surat, khargosh ka kaleja

When I called Swaminathan S A Aiyar ‘gadha’ (donkey) my ‘respected’ friend Rajiv Shah said the language was not appropriate. Yesterday I read article ‘sher ki surat, khargosh ka kaleja’, written by Mr. Aiyar in TOI. It confirms my views regarding Mr. Aiyar who writes, “Narendra Modi's fans expect him to extend his Gujarat model of development to all India. They think Modi's "tough love" will lead to hard decisions that hurt immediately, but later yield handsome dividends. They believe Modi will, as promised in his campaign pledges, treat Indians not as recipients of doles and subsidies but as aspirants seeking the jobs and opportunities created by rapid economic growth. Alas, a series of Modi's decisions last week were so populist, dithering and spineless as to make Manmohan Singh look a lion by comparison. In February, Singh proposed an increase of 14.2 % in rail fares and 6.5% in freight rates, and set the cost of a monthly suburban pass at the equivalent of 30 journeys a month, up from the earlier 15. The Election Commission postponed implementation till after the general election. Last week, the government said the Congress-proposed rates would be implemented from June 25, but backtracked after protests.”
Why our ‘learned’ friends like Mr. Aiyar could not see rank opportunism of Mr. Deshbhakt, who was on a slang-tour during his election campaign abusing all tom, dick and herry of Indian polity? Why they were not able to see within the ’56 inch breast’, which were blown up out of proportion just to fool Indian masses? I am really sorry. Our intellectuals are more spineless than our rulers like Mr. Modi.

Circular that banned word 'harijan' in govt. communications

Need to avoid the use of term “Harijan” in respect of Scheduled Castes in official communications and transactions

No. 17020/64/2010-SCD (R.L.Cell)

Government of India

Social Justice and Empowerment

Department of Social Justice and Empowerment

Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi

New Delhi, dated: 22.11.2012

To,

The Chief Secretaries,

All State Governments/Union Territory Administrations.

Subject: Need to avoid the use of term “Harijan” in respect of Scheduled Castes in official communications and transactions.

Sir,

‘I am directed to refer to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) letter No. BC 12025/44/80-SC&BCD.I/IV, dated 10.02.1982, in which all the State Governments / Union Territory Administrations were requested to issue instructions to the authorities who were empowered to issue the Scheduled Castes certificates, not to insert the word ‘Harijan’ in the Scheduled Caste certificates, but to mention only the name of the caste to which the person belongs. Subsequently the Ministry of Welfare (now Social Justice and Empowerment), vide letter No. 12025/14/90-SCD(R.L.Cell), dated 16.08.1990, had again requested the Chief Secretaries of all State Governments/Union Territory Administrations, that for all official transactions, matters, dealings, certificates etc., the Constitutional term, ‘Scheduled Caste’ in English and its appropriate translation in other national languages should alone be used for denoting the persons belonging to the Scheduled Castes included in the Presidential Orders issued under Article 341 of the Constitution. The State Governments / U.T.Administrations were also requested that in the names of departments, which are in overall charge of development/welfare of Scheduled Castes, the term ‘Harijan’ etc. should not be used.

2. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Social Justice and Empowerment. in its Ninth Report presented to Lok Sabha and laid in Rajya Sahha on l9.08,2010, inter-alia observed as follows:

"…..the circular issued way back in 1982 is very old which has lost its sanctity and purpose leading to its non compliance…. As such, there is widespread use of the word ‘Harijan’ across the country deprecating the status of the underprivileged sections of the society“.

Accordingly, the Committee has recommended that this Ministry issue fresh guidelines, instructions to States/ U.Ts directing them to ensure the non-use of the word “Harijan” not only in caste certificates but also otherwise.

3. All the State Governments/U.T. Administrations are again requested that for all office transactions, matters, dealings, certificates etc.. the Constitutional term. ‘Scheduled Caste’ in English, and its – appropriate translation in other national languages should alone be used for denoting the persons belonging to the Scheduled Castes included in the Orders issued by the President under Article 341 of the Constitution of India.

4. Action taken on the above may kindly be intimated to the undersigned

sd/-

Yours faithfully,

(P.L.Negi)

Director (SCD)
